Remember when I showed you the Owl Appliqué that I did in Jude Hill's workshop Patchwork Beasts?
I have finished it. As I was working on the piece my Husband asked me to make it into a pillow for our Adirondack room. So there he lives, happily among our collections of American and Icelandic Arts.
It feelt so natural and comfortable to me as I was working on this piece. Although I have never done any quilting before Jude's workshops...I have been sewing by hand since I was five years old.
One thing I learned as I was working with this pillow is to go with the flow...there are no rights or wrongs. I kept adding stitches and fabric as needed.
I was so happy with this edge that I made it into a Autumn Banner...I know, I am about a month early.
I am having fun making changes to the look of my blog. I will be doing more work on it as the days go by.
